Ok, the real comment here is Bravo! for the Starbucks experiment. Along the lines of your commentary, I frequent the same Second City location (it's a convenience thing; also, there are always tables available). One time I had a quite decent Americano there. So I thought, well, this is looking up... unfortunately, on subsequent visits to the same location, had only very mediocre results...

The point is, I think you are right - it's all the barista. Or mostly. Which would make it quite different from many other food items, right?</description>
